CHARITY OPEN DAYS IN 2008

We will be open on behalf of the National Gardens Scheme from 11 am to 5 pm on the following dates:

- Sunday 18th May;

- Sunday 15th June;

- Sunday 20th July;

- Sunday 17th August;

- Sunday 21st September.

As part of the open days in August and September, we will be holding a tomato tasting with the opportunity to try over 25 varieties that are grown in the garden.  Refreshments in aid of the NGS will be available.  There is ample parking at the nursery. See image below.

This year we will be opening along with Green Lane Cottage, Rousdon.  This imaginatively designed, tiered, garden has a succession of flowers set amongst follies, pergolas and ponds, topped off with over 100 avaried doves.  The garden was featured in the recent BBC2 series ‘Open Gardens’. See images of the garden below.

The nearby garden at Combpyne Manor will be open on behalf of the NGS on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of June, Friday 4th, Saturday 5th June and Sunday 6th July, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July, 11 am to 5 pm.  This mature 3½-acre garden includes borders within medieval walls, a large organic vegetable patch and an extensive area geared to conservation and wildlife including flower-rich slopes and a native woodland area.
