The aim of Hortus Nursery is to offer an interesting range of high quality plants which are of considerable garden value, as well as being reliable and easy to grow.
We also have a range of unusual tomato, chili and pepper plants available in late spring.

All the plants we sell are propagated and grown by us in the nursery and we are happy to advise on their planting and care. Our services also include garden design, planting plans and advice, border renovation and garden maintenance.
Hortus Nursery is run by plantswoman and gardening writer Marie-Elaine Houghton and her husband Mark and has supplied the Regents Park Flower Show and Chelsea Flower Show in recent years.

Located on the Devon / Dorset border, we are open from March to October, Wednesday to Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. We are open by appointment from November to February. Mail order is available.
